General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) (Products Supplied by Gelato)
The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) is a new key instrument in the EU product safety legal framework, effective from December 13, 2024. The GPSR requires all consumer products in the EU (and Northern Ireland) markets to be safe and establishes specific obligations for businesses to ensure this. The regulation applies to non-food products and all sales channels. The EU regulation requires to disclose the contact information of economic operators, such as the manufacturer and/or a responsible person in the EU, to communicate with authorities and customers.
Derdriu Store operates in conjunction with a print-on-demand (POD) suppliers (Printful and Gelato). These POD suppliers source and print the products sold on Derdriu Store, and deliver them directly to customers, while Derdriu Store provides the designs and marketing. As Derdriu Store is a business located in the EU, for the purposes of GPSR Derdriu Store is considered as the manufacturer of the products sold on Derdriu Store. (Postal and contact information for Derdriu Store: Contact).
As per EU Directive 2019/771 sellers in the EU must provide a two-year warranty. This has been the case since January, 2002, as was established by Directive 1999/44/EC. This means that sellers provide a refund or replacement within two years only for faulty goods, or goods that don’t look or work as advertised. For example, an over-worn item with a new defect would not count as faulty. Gelato provide washing and care instructions for printed fabrics: Gelato washing instructions.
For the Gelato products sold on Derdriu Store, Gelato's return policies apply.
